We are absolutely thrilled to be in position to welcome students back into school and cannot wait to see them and get back to classroom learning. This is a hugely positive step and will be beneficial to all our students. It is essential that our return to school is both safe and successful for all and as such, all students will need to adhere to our usual procedures.

Our bubble structure and timetable will continue as it was prior to the closure. Please remind your child about the importance of remaining in their bubble. Can I also please ask you to continue to remind your child to wear their mask and sanitise their hands in school as per the rules. As you will have seen in the news, all students are now required to wear masks at all times when inside the building, including in lessons, up until at least Easter. A further review will happen then and I will write with further changes as they occur. Our students also need to wear masks on entering the school site as this is very busy at these key times.  For those students who travel on the bus, it is very important that they wear their mask for the full journey, or they risk a ban or even fine from the relevant bus company.  We advise that all students have 2 masks with them every day, with a spare mask in a plastic bag should they need to replace their original mask during the day.

For those parents who drop off or collect by car, please do so responsibly, respecting our neighbours on Nursery Avenue and Rushy Lane.

We now envisage being back in school until July and it is essential that all our students adhere to both high standards of uniform and behaviour to ensure a successful return for all. All students will be required to wear full uniform from the outset. As the weather is now warmer, hoodies and jumpers will no longer be accepted. Students may choose to wear a plain T-shirt underneath their school shirt if they need. All other normal uniform rules will apply so plain black shoes, black trousers or skirt, white shirt with the tie and blazer. Thank you for your support in ensuring our students are well presented in line with our school policy.

We are incredibly proud of our school and want our students to share this pride. We expect all students to arrive at school on time and demonstrate respect for each other, our staff and the school environment. Please re-iterate these messages with your child ahead of their return to school to ease the transition back to normal school life.

As always, we will be here to support students throughout the re-opening process and offer extra guidance as and when needed.

I would finally thank you for all of your support regarding the re-opening process and throughout the closure.  It continues to be a challenge, but by working together as a community we can continue to deliver a safe and rewarding education to our young people.  As always, if you have any feedback or questions please do not hesitate to get in touch.
