Headteacher’s Message

Welcome to this week’s newsletter, as Friesland’s on site asymptomatic testing programme draws to a close. Hopefully you are all prepared for home testing from Monday, if you do have any questions please ask and we will do all we can to help.

The DFE have given some clarity on how the Easter holiday will work this year, which I will share next week. In short, school will be shut, but I will continue to offer a Covid support service via e-mail, including track and trace should that be necessary.

I am sure that many of you were aware of the videos circulating on social media last week, which I e-mailed about at the time. I’d just like to re-assure the whole community that we took the incidents very seriously indeed and have been working with parents, police and other agencies over the past week. Bullying is an issue we take very seriously at Friesland, including in the community or over social media as well as in school. I would like to thank all of you who got in touch to offer your support or to inform us of what you had seen online, it really was helpful and helped us to take appropriate action. See here for more information on anti-bullying.
