2021 GCSE and BTEC results

Friesland School is once again able to celebrate a wonderful set of Year 11 results, both in our GCSE and Vocational qualifications. Clearly the past two years have been incredibly challenging, and our students deserve a great deal of praise for the way they have worked throughout their courses, both at home and in school. Whilst we are aware they wanted to ‘prove’ themselves in examinations, everyone should be incredibly proud of their achievements as the grades reflect years of dedication and considerable talent.

Headteacher Craig Patterson commented: ‘As a school, we are extremely proud of what this year group have achieved during an incredibly challenging two years. No GCSE cohort in modern history have faced a challenge like the class of 2021, and the commitment, dedication and bravery shown by the year group in achieving what they have should never be underestimated. Whilst the formal exams were cancelled, the process our students went through was rigorous, and their achievements are in no way diminished by the cancellation of those exams. I really hope that all of our students go on to great success in whatever they choose to do next; be it continuation into Friesland 6th form, college, apprenticeship or the world of work. As we saw at the recent prom, our Y11 are not only intelligent and dedicated, but a delightful group of young people who will be a credit to their community. I wish them all the best for the future.’
