Friesland School Sixth Form has an excellent reputation for the academic and pastoral support and guidance that it offers its students. Consequently we have a proud track record of students making very strong progress with us.
We offer a broad and balanced curriculum, alongside providing extensive careers and higher education advice. Students leave Friesland to embark upon the next exciting and productive phase of their lives, whether at Oxbridge, the Russell Group Universities, Art and Drama Schools, Higher Apprenticeships, Employment or Gap Years. We work closely with local universities and employers, such as Boots and Rolls Royce.
Friesland Sixth Form provides a diverse range of extended educational and social opportunities, including an annual American Exchange, Ski Trips and residential visits to Namibia, Germany, Russia and the Lake District. Theatre trips, sporting fixtures and cultural visits feature, alongside tailor made higher education and employment workshops. We have a partnership with the Derby County Community Trust which offers an exciting opportunity to combine education with football.
We welcome substantial numbers of external students each year and place great emphasis upon our individual support and guidance; including a taster day on November 7th .
We believe that we offer a warm, friendly, purposeful environment in our Sixth Form.
Friesland is a welcoming, dynamic and exciting place and we look forward to meeting and potentially working with you all.
