Following the leavers lunch in the Common Room just before half term and the subject awards that honoured a vast array of students for their hard work and commitment, Year 13 had their leavers’ celebration at the Castle Pub in Nottingham recently and it was a fittingly
happy occasion to mark the end of this particular era. Awards were given by the sixth form team and the chairs of committee, for a range of factors, from the frivolous to the very sincere.
It is appreciated that some students face more challenges than others in their education and that some individuals really do make that extra contribution to the daily life of our sixth form. Mr Puddy, Mrs Pitman and Mrs Tideswell found it difficult to make their decisions, with so many deserving students in the year group.
We wish everyone in the year group a very happy and successful future and hope that they will join our alumni and return in the future to pass on their words of wisdom and experiences.
