The American Exchange trip took place in October with students and staff travelling to Philadelphia. Students get to stay with an American family and attend Radnor High School with their host. During the week of activities the students attend the school PEP rally and celebrate the forthcoming soccer game with Lower Merion High School. As well as travelling to Philadelphia, the group travelled to New York for the day and took in the sights of the big city. Students all agreed it was a truly wonderful experience and we look forward to welcoming their hosts in July 2019.
Mr Hardy accompanied the trip and again acknowledged how inspirational an experience the trip was – ‘Having run many school trips all over the world, the exchange was without a doubt the one I was most anxious about. I was worried about staying with a family I had never met before and the customs I would not be familiar with. However, it was one of the most inspirational school trips I have been part of and one I wouldn’t hesitate to jump at again in the future. I am in touch with my host on a weekly basis. Having the opportunity to immerse yourself in a different culture was something I will forever be grateful for. If you get the same opportunity, please grasp it with both hands’.
