Year 12 organised a number of fundraising activities for the Teenage Cancer Trust. The activities included an Easter Egg Hunt with Year 7, a penalty shootout with Year 9 and cake and sweet stall with Year 8.
Lauren Briddon wrote: To raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust, 12X decided to sell sweets to the school. We made over 50 bags and sold them all in one hour including wristbands which were given to us by Teenage Cancer Trust; in doing this we raised over £70. In addition, James Colton volunteered to die his hair pink and wax his legs, raising over £100!! We had a great couple of weeks organising the event and are very grateful to everyone who took part and donated to the charity. Seven young people are diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK, and by just giving £1,Teenage Cancer Trust will have been able to provide more support and care to these people to help them fight and recover from Cancer.
